Mary
Elizabeth Raines is the founder of Laughing Cherub Unlimited and the
director of the Academy for Professional Hypnosis Training. Her
clinical practice and school are located in Hollywood, California.
Ms. Raines also teaches and has a hypnosis practice in Wisconsin,
where she is founder of the Midwest Professional Hypnosis Associates.
She
is a certified hypnotherapist, hypnosis instructor and adjunct
faculty member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, the largest
professional hypnosis organization in the world. She is a Fellow of
the International Hypnosis Federation, and has been a Faculty
Convention Presenter and Certified Instructor for the American Board
of Hypnotherapy.
In
her clinical practice, Ms. Raines has had extensive experience in
most applications of hypnosis, including profound emotional healing
techniques, regression to cause, enhancement of confidence and
creativity, smoking cessation, stress reduction, weight reduction,
pain management, and others. She is known for her healing work with
actors and performers.
She
teaches hypnosis certification classes, and also teaches courses on self-hypnosis
and guided imagery for the Continuing Education Department of the
University of Wisconsin. Expert in past-life regression work, she
offers a certification program to train others in this specialty. She
is also the creator of a popular self-improvement CD series.
In
addition to hundreds of hours of hypnosis training, Raines has
achieved the highest degree of Reiki Mastery, and has had many hours
of schooling in a wide variety of profound energy healing and
intuitive techniques. Her academic background includes undergraduate
work at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston as a piano
performance major, and independent film studies at the University of
Wisconsin in Oshkosh.
In
addition to her private clinical practice and teaching, Mary
Elizabeth Raines is a notable lecturer and dynamic workshop leader.

writer, playwright and former journalist who has won regional, state
and national awards for her writing,
Raines has an extensive body of published and produced work, and has
been associate editor of a hypnosis magazine. Her articles on
hypnosis are published in professional journals and Internet
magazines. She has contributed to three published hypnosis books,
including the National Guild of Hypnotists' "Consumer's Guide to
Hypnotism," and "Everyday Miracles of Hypnosis,"
edited by Stephanie Rothman. Ms. Raines is also an accomplished
pianist and actor.
