CLASS LOCATION:
This remarkable, life-changing class is scheduled to be held at the
Sedona Creative Life Center, a world-famous nonprofit center
surrounded by 15 beautiful, secluded acres just a few minutes from
the heart of Sedona, AZ. The center was founded to celebrate the
human spirit and provide an uplifting and nourishing environment for
spiritually enhancing programs and personal growth. Tuition includes
all class materials. (Lodging
and meals are on your own.)
WHO MAY ENROLL:
Enrollment in this unique course is open to all hypnotists,
counselors, therapists, physicians, nurses, other medical or
mental-health practitioners, alternative healers, massage therapists,
practicing Reiki practitioners, educators, clergy, and others who are experienced
in working with people in a healing capacity. A telephone
interview with Mary Elizabeth Raines is required before acceptance.
WHO SHOULDNOT ENROLL:Anyone who has been hospitalized for
psychiatric reasons, who is seeing a psychiatrist and/or taking
medication for mental health issues, or who has a history of any kind
of mental or emotional breakdown. Please also see note
below.

Our class size is limited so that every student may receive personal
attention. We encourage each individual's sense of confidence, as
well as honoring each person's special assets and gifts in this
remarkable work of guided imagery. A welcome bonus is that many of
our graduates form deep and long-lasting friendships with their
fellow students.

CERTIFICATION:
Upon 100% attendance and satisfactory completion of the training,
participants will receive a diploma suitable for framing from the Academy
for Professional Hypnosis Training
stating that they are a Certified in Guided Imagery. Qualified
graduates will also be given a free internet listing.
SCHEDULE: As
full participation is required for certification, with no
exceptions, avoid scheduling early departure or late arrival.
(Airport arrivals and departures should be scheduled for the day
before and the day after class, as it takes two hours to get to
Phoenix from Sedona.) We encourage participants to arrange for an
additional day's stay in
Sedona to explore or rest.

PERSONAL
HEALING: This course is highly
experiential. All students are expected to give and receive guided
imagery sessions. This is can be profound work, and is being held in
a very sacred and transformational place. Our students often reap
many important personal and spiritual benefits.
Please
note, however, that the main focus is not personal therapy, but
rather that of learning and further developing a skill that can be
used in helping others. (Those looking solely for personal therapy or
who are in need of deep healing should seek the attention of a
professional rather than attend the course.)
FOR PEOPLE
WHO ALREADY
HAVE TRAINING
IN GIVING GUIDED
IMAGERY: Occasionally
we have a student who has already taken a class in how to conduct
guided imagery. We respect the leaders in this field, like Shakti
Gawain and Bella Naperstuck. You will discover that every course is
quite different. There are always new techniques to learn, and
each teacher's approach is different, so you will still enjoy this
class, regardless of earlier trainings. There is no competition in
our classes, but simply room for expansion! (We also are happy to see
our grads take courses from the above individuals, if they wish.)
NOTE FOR HYPNOTISTS:
A number of hypnosis organizations will approve this course for
credit for 25 hours of continuing hypnosis education. If you are a
hypnotherapist, check with your certifying organization.
